HPCx - Al-Farabi: Now available at SBASSE

Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering is now offering a Windows and GPU based high-performance computing environment for all LUMS Faculty. Al-Farabi compute nodes are split into Production and Development categories. The Production nodes are available for uninterrupted public deployment of research software as well as for large-scale simulation purposes. The Development nodes facilitate software development and testing exercise before software rollout to Production nodes.

This cluster is based in the Bioinformatics Research Laboratory and is managed by Dr. Safeeullah Chaudhry. We are pleased that this research-specific cluster is now being upgraded to offer support to a wider community.

A brief overview of Al-Farabi, which is how the system is named, is available here.
