Abstract
FMCW has promised the use of lower powers with higher bandwidth, thus providing a possibility of improved range resolution as compared to the pulsed RADAR. The technology has allowed the resolution which have become prohibitive for the pulsed radars to achieve. In this lecture we will go through the foundations of the FMCW and will look further into the practical scenarios along with the associated challenges.
About the speaker: Dr. Saqib Ali completed PhD in Communication Systems from Lancaster University, UK in 2010. Since the start of his career he is closely attached with the field of communication systems and has a rich design experience of 18 years in this field. Being an algorithm designer along with development over SDRs, he is well familiar with communication system intrinsic and its issues. His core area is physical layer design.
