SBASSE Welcomes Dr Muhammad Ali Siddiqi on joining the Dept of Electrical Engineering as an Assistant Professor

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Muhammad Ali Siddiqi as the newest member of the SSE faculty. Ali earned his PhD from Erasmus University Medical Center (Erasmus MC) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where his doctoral research focused on security and privacy concerns related to implantable medical devices.
For the past two years, Ali served as a post-doctoral researcher at the Quantum and Computer Engineering (QCE) Department of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands. During this time, he was actively engaged in the design of ultra-low-power computing architectures for neural implants. Additionally, Ali possesses comes with half a decade of experience in the European digital systems design industry. 
He earned his BE in Electrical Engineering and received a prestigious Presidential Gold Medal from NUST. He later pursued an Erasmus Mundus Scholar MSc in Embedded Computing Systems at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the University of Southampton. Before commencing his master's studies, he dedicated a year as a Research Assistant in LUMS' Computer Science Department, focusing on low-power embedded systems.
