Soft Robotics is an emerging technology that lies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. It refers to a new generation of robotics machines that take inspiration from nature to address the limitations of existing machines to be deployed in natural environments. While only being a couple of decades old, this field has already facilitated in revolutionizing key economic sectors of developed countries in a cost effective manner such as farming, manufacturing, medicine, rehabilitation, and search and, rescue.
