The Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is arranging a Design Competition for young and aspiring minds in Chemical Engineering from across the country to showcase their problem-solving, critical thinking, and professional leadership skills. In this competition, teams of up to five senior chemical engineering students from various universities will propose a technical solution to a design problem within eight weeks. All solutions will subsequently be evaluated by a panel of experts from industry and academia, and the winning solution will receive a cash prize of PKR 100,000/. The timeline/details of this event are as follows:

•    Competition start date: February 20, 2024
•    Deadline for the submission of design solution: 3:00 PM, April 15, 2024
•    On-campus presentations and award ceremony: 2nd week of May, 2024 (exact date will be announced soon)
•    Registration Fee: PKR 5,000/- per team 

All final-year students in your department are invited to participate in this competition. It will be an excellent opportunity for them to gain practical experience, interact with students and faculty from different universities, and receive recognition from the academic and industrial community. For participation, please fill in the registration form separately for each team. Each university may send up to two teams.
