Abstract
Professional ethics are principles that govern the behavior of a person or group in a professional environment. Like values, professional ethics provide rules on how a person should act towards other people and institutions in such an environment. Professional codes of conduct draw on these professional ethical principles as the basis for prescribing required standards of behavior for members of a profession. The talk will cover an introductory level discussion on professional ethics & code of conduct for engineers & scientists.

Dr. Shoaib Ul Haq got his PhD in Organizational Behavior from Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan in 2015. He did his postdoctoral research from HEC Liege, Belgium and is currently serving as lecturer in Newcastle business school. He also holds BE (Electronics) from National University of Sciences & Technology, Pakistan. His research is focused on decolonial theory and the impact of technology on improving business-society relations. He is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses including research methods, business analytics and digital business strategy etc.
