Abstract
In this talk, I will speak about the modified Kadomtsev Petviashvilli (mKP) equation in multi-component space plasmas. I will explain why do we need to derive these equations and how they differ from the traditional nonlinear equations appearing in plasmas. Non-thermal distributions of electrons in space plasmas will also be discussed to ascertain how the shape of the distribution function affects the propagation of cubic nonlinearity driven solitary structures in space plasmas. Interaction of mKP solitons will also be discussed.
