A Prelude to Commutative Algebra and its Application

Speaker(s)
Dr. Imran Anwar
Venue
Zoom/Online
Abstract
Modern phase of commutative algebra has evolved tremendously in recent decades. In this talk, I will discuss some enticing aspects of computational as well as combinatorial commutative algebra. This talk will encompass few celebrated results and applications.

The next seminar in the Department of Mathematics J. Conway Spirited Seminar Series is taking place on the 1st of March 2021 at 4pm PST, online via Zoom. The speaker of this session is Dr Imran Anwar who is a faculty of Mathematics at SBASSE. The topic of his talk is ‘A Prelude to Commutative Algebra and its Application’.

Dr. Imran Anwar has his research interests stretched in Commutative Algebra, enumerative combinatorics. In particular, most of his research contributions are in the field of combinatorial commutative algebra. His talk will highlight some enticing aspects of computational as well as combinatorial commutative algebra along with some celebrated results and operations.
