Abstract
Led by an expert with a PhD from Penn State University and postdoctoral experience at the University of Delaware and Penn State, specialized in Agentic AI, energy systems, and practical AI applications for research and industry.

Overview
This one-day in-person workshop is designed to empower intermediate Python developers, faculty, and students with essential skills in Agentic AI, no-code automation, and rapid prototyping. Combining the best elements from proven programs, the workshop focuses on automating research tasks (e.g., paper summarization, reference management, literature reviews) using AI tools like Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), voice stacks, and no-code platforms (n8n, Make.com, Zapier). It also prepares participants for tech careers by covering ReAct logic (via LangChain), reinforcement learning (RL), evals/error analysis, MCP/tool use, prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding (Cursor, Claude Code), full-stack deployment, and portfolio building.

The program emphasizes Python-focused hands-on projects to enhance efficiency and create deployable AI prototypes.

Workshop Objectives:
• Enable automation of research and development tasks using Agentic AI (RAG, voice stack) and no-code tools.
• Develop industry-relevant skills including ReAct, RL, evals/error analysis, MCP/tool use, deployment, prompt engineering, and rapid prototyping with AI-assisted coding.
• Deliver hands-on outcomes: A voice-enabled RAG chatbot, a no-code workflow, a ReAct-enhanced agent with RL optimization, a deployed full-stack prototype, and a professional GitHub portfolio enriched with prompt and rapid engineering techniques.

Agenda:
The workshop runs from 9:00 AM to 4:45 PM, balancing foundational learning, practical application, advanced techniques, and interactive breaks.
