School of Business Launches First Biannual Magazine, SDSB 360

Pakistan's premier business school, the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at LUMS is proud to announce the launch its first biannual magazine, SDSB 360. The magazine has been published to introduce to readers how the School is reshaping today for a better tomorrow. It will showcase SDSB’s academic excellence, research and publications with global and regional impact, as well as the dynamic faculty, staff and students.

Dr. Alnoor Bhimani, Honorary Dean, SDSB, introducing the inaugural issue of SDSB 360, elaborated how the world has swiftly changed with the spread of Coronavirus and it is a time to make tough decisions as educators. “The spread of COVID-19 has jolted all societies into actions that no prior planning could have envisaged. Difficult decisions have to be taken, and innovative solutions implemented. No doubt, today's young generation will become tomorrow's decision-makers and innovators. They will be the ones targeting economic growth as well as social progress in the light of constraining factors.”

The inaugural issue of the magazine highlights SDSB’s academic commitments, and its vision to develop ideas and people to shape business and society. This commitment to the pursuit of excellence has resulted in many international achievements and recognitions. SDSB is the only AACSB International accredited business school in Pakistan and according to the QS Rankings 2020, it is placed among the top 250 business schools of the world. The SDSB MBA is ranked among the top 25 MBA programmes in Asia, according to QS MBA Rankings Asia 2020 and the top 250 in the world as per QS Global MBA Rankings 2020. 

The transformational learning experience offered at the School is showcased in SDSB 360; the inaugural issue comprises interviews with faculty, staff, students as well as industry experts who share insights about how business is evolving in the current climate. There are also articles on case studies and papers published at SDSB on topics such as accounting systems and entrepreneurship.
