
Celebrating Teaching Excellence at SBASSE - 2025
We are delighted to share that faculty members from the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering, Dr. Ihsan Ayyub Qazi, Professor of Computer Science, and Dr. Adnan Khan, Associate Professor of Mathematics, have been awarded the LUMS Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence.
Dr. Qazi is widely recognized for his visionary leadership in curriculum innovation and educational policy. From designing interdisciplinary graduate courses to launching impactful initiatives like the Google-funded explore CSR workshop, his work continues to bridge disciplines, empower learners, and champion diversity in computing. He has a deep focus on integrating AI tools into higher education.
Dr. Adnan Khan, meanwhile, is celebrated for his extraordinary ability to make complex mathematics come alive. Whether teaching large undergraduate classes or advanced graduate courses, his dynamic approach transforms anxiety into curiosity. Known for fostering critical thinking and real-world application, Dr. Khan’s student-centered philosophy has left a lasting impact, helping learners not only understand mathematics, but also harness its potential to solve real-world problems.
