Abstract
A certain class of functional partial differential equations, known as the Pantograph type equations, arise in various applications including granular physics, internet protocols, fragmentation in polymers and cell division models. There are no general methods of finding solutions to these equations because of the functional terms. We first review an article that derives an analytic solution to the problem for constant coefficients. We then study an inhomogeneous problem with a source term and find analytic solutions to the problem.
