Abstract
Mealybugs are pests that damage a variety of crops and causes a significant decrease to the yield. One of the successful techniques to control these pests is to introduce predators called lace wings. We present an age-structured predator-prey model that provides information about the number of lacewings that are needed to be released in order to neutralize a given population of mealybugs.
