Projecting Pakistan's Scientific Enterprise to the World

Parceled in a collection of detailed articles, authored by researchers, scientists and policymakers, the spirit of Pakistan’s scientific enterprise gets captured and presented to the world in the inaugural issue of ‘Science Diplomacy – a collection of interdisciplinary and collaborative articles authored by Pakistani researchers, academicians, and policy makers. Team Particle and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) worked together to realize this initiative.

Team Particle ran a content submission campaign on the School’s social media, as well as through publishing an advert in The Particle 17. Our team also helped with copyediting articles submitted from the School of Science and Engineering, LUMS. The team also helped with copyediting of the articles submitted on behalf of our school.

An article submitted by Dr. Muhammad Zaheer from the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering takes the reader on a collaboration spectacle, that wonderfully reflects Dr. Zaheer’s trail in research. Dr. Sabieh Anwar (Dean, School of Science and Engineering) posted an exhaustive article, plucking intricate details from nationwide science outreach and popularization events hosted by the Khwarizmi Science Society.

Science diplomacy is a global approach in encouraging fruitful collaborations through the medium of scientific research, discovery, and innovation. It holds significance in helping to address global challenges and bridging the gap between innovation and the community of policy makers. Science Diplomacy Perspectives will be regularly published and provide a permanent platform for scholars and practitioners to submit articles on science diplomacy related themes.
